I’m proud of everything I do. Everything. I’ve learned to love the mistakes as well as the well-crafted accomplishments equally.
But then something like THIS comes along!
I’M SPEAKING AT NICHE PARENT CONFERENCE!
And to make the week just as special as possible I got to announce…
I’M SPEAKING AT BLOGALICIOUS, TOO!
Yes, this was my week. I get to jet set off to Florida in October and then San Antonio in November.
I just got the news of my Fairy Godmother sending this Cinderella to speak at the Niche Parent Conference an hour or so ago, so excuse me while my thoughts swirl, but it goes something like this.
A year ago I put a target on Disney World’s back. I’d been three times in 18 months as a blogger and it was just one of the best parts of that experience. I love the place (who doesn’t?) and I love taking my daughter to “the happiest place on Earth.” Losing my blogging job meant that the chance to go to Disney for work were over.
Or did it?
DO NOT EVER LET LOSING ONE THING MAKE YOU THINK YOU’VE LOST EVERYTHING.
Sure. Going to Disney World was possible before I started blogging, but I never did it and I didn’t want my lack of that blog opportunity to be the reason I had to stop going. Add to that my desire to go as a speaker with all the bells and whistles; in steps my vision board.
I wrote my vision board at the end of last year. One of the first things my vision board got me was inclusion in a book about vision boards! That is amazing because now I get to share with people what it is I expect from my life and encourage them to do the same thing. They SEE my proof, that I thought it out, wrote it down, and that seeing is believing!
So for now I am updating my vision board ASAP! There are plenty of things I forgot, but now they are there and I’m going to do some bigger thinking.
I just wanted to get these thoughts down because, hey, I’m a blogger, I’m a sharer, social media be my thang, and
I’M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
In case you missed it, Cinderella’s real name is Ella. Hello. She got the name Cinderella from her stepmom because apparently Cinderella was dirty after cleaning the cinders by the fire. Ever since I learned that little tidbit I’ve identified with Cinderella on a much deeper level. And now here I am, with a wave of an electronic wand transformed into a the belle of the ball, the talk of the town, and proof that dreams do come true.
Which of your big, hairy, audacious dreams are you pursuing?
